The artists of the German booking agency Von der Haardt have come up with an idea; to unite and deliver one incredible compilation album with all proceeds donated to Médecins Sans Frontières. Haingeraide (released December 25th) reflects on the idea of creating and living in collaboration. I’ve included Hania Rani, Fejká and a remix by Grandbrothers of a Pantha du Prince track in this mix but there is plenty to choose from including Christian Löffler, KIASMOS, Sebastian Mullaert and many more. Penguin Cafe’s Handfuls of Night (Explored) on the sublime label Erased Tapes next which is a Special Edition of their acclaimed 2019 album featuring a Track-by-Track Audio Commentary by Arthur Jeffes, plus a Bonus Track titled More Milk. For the occasion they commissioned a Behind The Scenes documentary short film, showing how intertwined the making of this album was with Arthur’s multiple Greenpeace collaborations. Leena Punks track Hestia is one of those rare tracks you feel straight away, check out her quality DJ skills as well, super cool! Ben Lukas Boyson, Rival Consoles, Erased Tapes collaborate with Heavy Duty Projects on 2 new EPs New Music For Trailers, cinematic and very powerful music. Alex Banks Tephra on Mesh next which is epic, picked The Space Between which fitted best in this mix but check out the other tracks, emotional and intelligent production. Bicep - Saku (feat. Clara La San) on the legendary Ninja Tune will be a huge tune next year, Bicep sell out their tickets at events within minutes and always deliver stunning vibes. Gelka who have been a Café del Mar artist since 2003, famous for delivering floating musical journeys with tracks and mixes have the first solo album Wishful Thinking which is by Csaba (as Gelka). Last year Dutch DJ/Producer and visionary Joris Voorn released his highly acclaimed ‘\\\\’ LP (Spectrum / BMG). Key tracks from the album have now had exquisite re-works from Soul Button and Monkey Safari, Ryo fitted best in this mix but both are well worth a visit. Loving the Gidge album New Light (Atomnation), lots to enjoy from the duo and label. Aparde remixes Lambert which is a great collaboration, very cool sound. Zeb Samuels - Breeze Blowing (Deep Heads) is a laid back flowing track which is perfect for this show. Stan Forebee (Cold Busted) keeps the groove going then the superb Dom Paradise remixes Motopony, perfect Balearic vibe in this. As the world celebrates the 250th anniversary of the birth of a genius, institutions worldwide honour the date with Beethoven-filled repertoires. Classical music behemoth, Deutsche Grammophon commissioned Christian Löffler who has reworked four tracks by Beethoven from original 1920s recordings of the pieces, check out Parallels (Beethoven). Final track is by Evan Gildersleeve, a London based composer and electronic musician. Having previously gained support from the likes of Radio 1 and 6 Music as half of electronic duo Tired Arms, Evan now prepares to reveal his first solo offering. Mortal explores the composer’s personal challenges with mental health, his search for solitude and the conflict of imposed isolation. The standalone single on Human Worth, a new charitable label that raises funds for people in crisis through their shows and releases, began as a series of fundraiser nights across the UK bringing together an array of artists all in aid of charity.
