The Chillout Lounge Mix - Infinite

Music is something I will always want to do, it’s a constant infinite feeling!

Opening with a sublime track from techno legend Alan Fitzpatrick who returns to Anjunadeep under his breaks & electronic alias 3STRANGE. Also from Anjunadeep is Stockholm-based DJ and producer MOLØ with her beautiful four-track EP Hymn, I included two tracks in this mix as I enjoyed the whole release. Kinky Sound makes his debut on Highway Records with a groovy track Acid Face which includes a quality breaks remix by Sasha Carassi, known for his releases on Bedrock Records, Renaissance and Knee Deep In Sound. Madloch's 3rd Avenue imprint showcases four remixes for Beije's Waiting For The Sun To Rise EP, Domingo +, OHMZ and Dzhef got invited to make a remix along with my favourite version by Madraas. For legendary UK dance label Bedrock's 200th release, John Digweed & Nick Muir invite German DJ & producer, Jonathan Kaspar, to remix two of their tracks to mark this special occasion. Live Off The Grid was originally released in 2014 as part of their Traveller album, a collaboration with anonymous sci-fi writer John Twelve Hawks. Jonathan Kaspar's remix increases the tempo of the track, and juxtaposes the deep mysterious spoken-word vocals with elegant, futuristic synth samples. Bitoku (Crossfade Sounds) from the U.S with his EP Inner Nature next, I chose Fractal Dimension but all the tracks are deep and meaningful. Stunning remix from Alex Donofrio of Intacto - Deja Vu (Massive Harmony Records), such a journey and flow. Anemos Dance invited Aera to their studio in the deserted Island of Mykonos; after 10 days of exploring, connecting and music making - Ghost Town EP was born! The record tells a narrative of the Cycladic Winter, capturing the energy, history and the spirit of the beautiful Greek island, ethereal melodies, ancient vocals and Aera's signature complex, arpeggiated melodies throughout make a hypnotic listening experience. Following the release of Welcome Home, British duo Fluida return to Anjunadeep with their three-track EP Phoenix. Fresh off the back of announcing Profound Mysteries II, Röyksopp (Dog Triumph) drop the Profound Mysteries Remixes recruiting heavyweights &ME, Township Rebellion, Henry Saiz & Rodriguez Jr; celebrated Spanish DJ/producer Henry Saiz, known for his concept art and electronic music releases on labels such as Sasha’s Last Night On Earth, offers up three diverse remixes of the euphoric track ‘This Time This Place’ ft. Beki Mari, bringing his eclectic approach to each of the ‘Darktrip’, Downtempo Egodeath’ and original HS mix. New Deutsche Grammophon album Summer Tales presents reworks often classical hits created byan array of the world’s leading producers and contemporary composers. David Douglas, Goldmund, Peter Gregson, Laura Masotto, Mathilda, Model Man, Roosevelt, Someone, Sam Thompson and Xinobi present their personal reinterpretations of music spanning three centuries, from Pachelbel and Bach to Debussy and Ravel. I remixed the gifted Mozez (Numen Records) and his track You Don’t Know, going for a deep, rolling breaks version: Were we able to express every true thought, emotion and feeling, then we maybe would experience a freedom that only infinite wisdom can express. We are given words as a key to express ourselves however we know that words have their limitations and can only be a shadow, an expression of who we truly are. You Don’t Know is an expression of the limitation we have in imparting the true self. Roland Voss (Lemongrass / Lemongrassmusic) is back with Ambient Land Volume 8 series, presenting 6 wonderful, beatless Ambient tracks – a cherished source of comfort, healing and positive optimism, perfect for relaxing and freeing the mind. With warm sounds, hypnotic arpeggios and sometimes a subtle Far East Asian feel the music is an invitation to do creative works or experience your body in Yoga or massage or just dream away and enjoy the beauty of the sounds and the calming energy of the music. An alternate timeline side of Monta at Odds, Gemini Revolution explores the dark ambient side of sonic space exploration digging deep into sounds from beyond slowly enveloping everything it comes into contact. Christopher Willits returns to Ghostly International with Gravity, his latest exploration in ambient music with deep listening intention. Composed during a period of change and challenge, it is the artist's most personal and refined work to date. "This music is a tool for slowing down, feeling, and healing," Willits encourages listeners to seek an immersive playback setting for the spatial audio recordings (via headphones or speakers) and to let the sound guide the mind's intrinsic need to process.
