The Chillout Lounge Mix - Inside

Sharing what’s inside, deep, expansive, varied, emotional, devotional, warm, atmospheric, cinematic, elated, poetic.

The Storm soon to be out on Numen Records and explores the electrifying, captivating and transformative power of music, revealing its ability to elevate and deeply resonate with our innermost emotions. On Oath's latest release, the imprint are proud to present an offering from London-based producer and DJ Tom Jarmey, on a record that sweeps beautifully across the electronic music palette and comes forth sparkling, enticing, and enveloping all at the same time. Negative is taken deeper than before by Synkro, with the kicks occupying the space with flickering of breaks allowed to keep things moving onwards. Noble's vocals are given a different kind of space in which to shine, as the horns, keys, and the like are spaced out to provide an incredible experience. Tom Jarmey has achieved a fair amount throughout his career to date it must be said, and on Swing Through Spaces there is a feeling as if a lot more is there to be written. A record that points to the future as much as the past, but in the here and now it speaks volumes, providing plenty of room to dive in and enjoy its bountiful feelings and tones, all wrapped up in an atmosphere of exploration that continually pushes outwards. A stellar release, and Oath couldn't be more proud to present it. Press play, and drift away. Baobei (宝贝) is the moniker of London-born, British-Chinese DJ, producer and songwriter Lila Yin. Meaning darling or treasure in Mandarin, Baobei is Yin’s musical alter-ego, an avatar in a dreamworld of her own design. Blending next gen UKG and drum and bass with pure pop sensibilities, Baobei’s music explores dualities; the organic and the digital, the strong and divine feminine, a girl online and a body in the dance. Her debut single Stereo is inspired by collectives who uplift marginal voices in electronic music, Baobei’s mission is to build a boundless club space where ravers of all backgrounds can find free expression and connection. Bicep unveil their new alias DOVE with the ethereal Chroma 003 Bi83, described by the duo as a more extreme version of the Bicep sound, heavier but also calmer. Combining thick, heavy drums with dreamlike melodics. Shimmering choirs and floating pads cruise across a bedrock of crunchy, club-ready drums, forging a truly new direction for the duo. Ingenious and restless musical soul, Feiertag, returns to Sonar Kollektiv with the sublime single Colorball. Everything flows, Arutani‘s third album is a very personal note on change and life. The stories we see and create, the balance of hope and melancholia that accompanies every step we take. Calm, light, modest and mindful as the artist himself, with a glimpse of light in every aspect, minimal in character and rich in detail. Ferher - Unity (Erdi Irmak X Noom Reinterpretation) on Stripped Digital is a beautiful long chuggy journey with a huge euphoric break in the middle, lush. Wavy breakbeats meet spectral electronics on Leave It Behind, the addictive new single between childhood friends Frankie Knight and Robert Swaine AKA Submyth. A cathartic blast of esoteric dancefloor joy, the track finds messages of personal progression and forgiveness wrapped up in its kinetic production. “I wrote this song as a reminder to myself to stop ruminating over painful things in my past,” Frankie says. “I wanted to conjure feelings of freedom often felt on the dancefloor and write something a little bit witchy inspired by all the Buffy and Sabrina I watched as a kid”. My track Inside is a big inspiration for this mix and I’m proud of the story it tells with the rough and the smooth. Presenting the first of Reflections emerging-artist EP series for 2024, Reflections 08 reveals six brand new compositions and label debuts to the Anjunafamily, label newcomer sue:ann, with her production ‘Gilderoy’ which fuses a deep chilled out baseline with melodic vocal samples. Pete Josef is not just a singer, songwriter and multi- instrumentalist from the South-West of England. His social conscience and inherent need to create, build, share and protect as well as educate himself about issues regarding the environment, society, politics, race and gender have seen all of these permeate into his musical output in recent years. This has never been more overtly the case than with his brand new single, Utopia. Following the release of his acclaimed album Running In A Dream, Nils Hoffmann shares an acoustic version of the album single Holding Me Back, featuring vocalist The Kite String Tangle. Hailing from Brisbane, Australia, The Kite String Tangle is a two-time ARIA-nominated producer, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist. Croquet Club follows up the release of his debut album Fugue In Twilight with a selection of instrumentals, taking the title track, Slowly, Swirl, and Mother Earth into new chill out worlds. The album is slow-moving and reflective; created free of ego, comparison, chasing and striving. It’s a compelling and cinematic body of work that will cement Croquet Club’s reputation as a gifted, authentic and unique electronic music producer.
