Wavy, electronic slow jam How Do You Feel? is the first official single crafted between childhood friends Frankie Knight and Robert Swaine AKA Submyth. How Do You Feel? combines Submyth’s playful basslines and ambient jungle pads with Frankie Knight’s softkeys and lush vocals; reminiscent of Jesse Lanza, FKA Twigs, Ross from Friends and IAMDDB. The track aims to keep alive conversations on how we can progress society to create a more compassionate and peaceful world. Knight says of the lyrics,“I was trying to address an inner conflict I have between hopelessness and optimism for the current state of the world. Asking the question, do we need to start again or can love save the day?” Free as a bird comes the new Lemongrass album Birdy. A musical homage to the beauty of nature and positive lightheartedness. Most of my listeners will know about the amazing Tom Day, a solo artist residing in Millgrove, Australia and has been creating ambient and electronic music since 2005. Characterised as “effortless and raw”, Tom’s tracks couple elegant beats and piano melodies to an array of personally-collected field recordings, his style alternating between promising swells and restful plateaus. He also has a project called sɹoɹɹᴉɯ which is more ambient and relaxing but just as amazing. Mozez (Numen Records) and I are really proud of our new track Spinning Circles which describes the path to discovering yourself, it speaks of the experiences of going through the challenges that life presents. Overcoming your weaknesses and the hope of being at one with truth. Anjuna’s Reflections welcomes back Stelios Vassiloudis, with his brand new EP XY/YX. Stelios is a versatile composer, producer, and DJ from Athens who has been active in electronic music since the early 2000s. Classically trained with degrees in acoustical engineering and composition, Stelios has a diverse musical background and is able to create a unique sound blending electronic soundscapes, harmonies, and rhythms. Also on Reflections is French electronic artist Croquet Club drops his latest dreamy single Don't Say, ahead of the release of his album Fugue In Twilight. Croquet Club has been at the heart of Anjunadeep for the best part of a decade, after being discovered via Soundcloud and making his debut on the label in 2013. Lastly classically trained pianist and electronic producer Alexandra Vysheslavova aka Omfeel, makes a four-track debut with her brand new EP Happiness. Amber Long, Sergio Vilas (Stripped Digital) Separation has an amazing energy and atmosphere, a real beauty. I have two EPs out soon, one on Madlock’s Crossfade Sounds label called Mirrors. I delved deep inside, looked in the mirror and a variety of emotions came out. The other EP is on Fenestra (Einmusika’s sub label) and is called Ethereal which captivates with its groovy, deep essence, infused with warm yet melancholic tones. Inside offers a chilled, laid-back atmosphere, adorned with beautiful soundscapes and moody chords. Concluding the EP is Infinity, an atmospheric and mesmerizing ambient piece, devoid of beats, featuring expansive reverberations and ethereal effects that evoke a sense of eternity. Manu Pavez (3rd Avenue) is making some superb music, Human from his Serendipity EP has such a powerful mood and I always look forward to hearing his latest. Everything flows, Arutani‘s third album is a very personal note on change and life. The stories we see and create, the balance of hope and melancholia that accompanies every step we take. Calm, light, modest and mindful as the artist himself, with a glimpse of light in every aspect. Minimal in character and rich in detail. Mazoulew is one of my favourite producers, his awareness of all the elements he uses in his tracks and the feelings he expresses every time hits the spot for me. Check his latest track Isolate, a stunner. Stereo Mind (Stripped Recordings) Astronaut is a quality release, I went for Space but there are lots to choose from here. Aku says: “My next release is heading into ambient territory. Darkness Sets In is dark triumphant industrial if that makes sense. This song was made at the suggestion by Babicz. He told me my ambient EP needed one more darker psychedelic song in the middle to round it out. So here it is! I really enjoy making this kind of music. The single Darkness Sets In will be out April 5th, the whole album will come in June.”
