The Chillout Lounge Mix - Creative

I feel happiest when being creative, very happy to be making music again. “All children are born artists, the problem is to remain an artist as we grow up.” - Pablo Picasso.

I’ve enjoyed Tom Day’s music for some time now so am very glad to have him on the show, his collaboration with Jake Lowe is a sublime one, lockdown was a good time to make music for many. Smoothness from Gelka next with that Café del Mar sound. I’m really into the wonderful il:lo, the project born from the meeting of the two French artists Dejan Dejado and Andreas Schütz in Prague in 2010, expect more from these guys on the show, stunning music. Heard Memories of Joi once and had to chase it up, lovely sound from Malmo and Enlia which has a cool video too. Piers Kirwan is certainly one of the names that are popping up these days even if his musical beginnings date back to the late 80s, when alongside with the then unsigned Aphex Twin, he set warehouse parties in south west England, he then made his way into the global house music scene. Really enjoyed remixing CRSZPL (Chris Zippel) - Petrichor which is out now on the new label KAYOON started by Chris and Ansgar Üffink from Vargo, read more about the release here. Industry heavyweight Alan Fitzpatrick demonstrates his production versatility offering up a beautifully emotive and thought-provoking cut under his 3Strange alias. Brighton-based producer & DJ Just Her returns to Anjunadeep with the stunning four-track EP 'Beautiful Nothing', having previously released on Get Physical, Global Underground and Culprit. The gifted Frankie Knight releases on Tsunami Sounds who as part of their Save Our World Compilation aimed at increasing awareness for environmental rights, is donating 20% of streaming & physical sales through this project to a reputable organisation. Sine who has been involved with the podcast from the start has a beautiful track out on Sine Music well worth checking out here. There’s a new Niklas Paschburg remix of Little Orc by Uèle Lamore, the latest chapter in Niklas’s rework project, a series focusing on reimaginings of his most recent album Svalbard. Llyr brings his debut EP release on Mesh and the next issue in the 3D Reworks series which aims to challenge artists to express their work and expand their creative awareness to enable every listener to experience high-definition immersive audio, the EP comprises three tracks of headphone surround sound, immersive audio at its most powerful. Following the release of the live album and global premiere on MUBI in December, Tripping with Nils Frahm - an extraordinary musical journey, captured on record and film in one of Berlin's most iconic live music spaces is now available to watch on other video-on-demand platforms, including CURZON, Apple and Sky. Tripping with Nils Frahm (Erased Tapes) is an illustration of Nils lauded ability as a composer and passionate live artist as well as the enchanting atmosphere of his captivating and legendary Funkhaus shows. Finishing this mix off with a beautiful track from Vetle Nærø (7K!) from the forthcoming 11 track album Introspection which will be available in April.
